I guess it comes down to, at least here among us, is what constitutes bad treatment.

The newspaper to the head thing is just plain stupid. If I were in the Army right now I'd be embarrased.

The puke thing was over the top but still not court marital material. He should have been reprimanded and removed from DI duty if for nothing else that such poor judgement is indicative of someone who might really do some damage one day.

All in all however, if this is the state of PC affairs in the Army, it is no wonder there is no esprit de corps and subsequently such attrition problems.
