We have had several debates about the Truth.

We have also debated the Mass Media Bias.

The crux of the issue is that the parents were told and three months later the "investigation" turned up "the truth", even though "the truth" was known immediately on the ground and within 48 hours up the chain of command.

Whether the military botched the “news” or the News “botched” the military...

...and we can certainly debate a grieving mother and father...

...the possiblities of the "use of events" by government or press...

...we should not lose track of the event itself.

Although his sacrifice was perhaps not any greater than others... at other times...

...it was the ultimate.

TRUTH

The guy shuns a multi-million dollar pay day to put on a uniform and get shot at. Very, very few would do the same.

In my book he was a hero before he heard the first shot in anger. The circumstances will never diminish my respect for this Ranger.

Respect. He is what all americians shoud try to look up to and achieve. Bless his courage, soul and commintment to our way of life. Shame on those who think we should stand down on this global commitment to terrisorism.
