Haven't seen much in here posted concerning this so I figured I'd toss this out on the wall an see if it sticks:

Instead of just giving the automakers billions and billions of dollars in cash, why not give each American family a certificate worth… say $5,000 as a down payment on a new car. That would help a lot of families, the automakers and the economy as a whole. What about the families that don’t need a new car or don’t drive? Let them trade in their certificate for cash or something else that would help families or the economy.

The democrats are idiots and they will validate this to the whole country in time. Odd but it's usually the smaller party that enjoys the thrills of being out of the spotlight which actually gives them power. As for the car companies, 25 billion would keep them running for about a year tops. If nobody is buying a car though, whats the point? If I get another 5000 bucks back from the government ( we are the government and it's our paid tax money ) I'm not gonna buy a car. I'd probably go to Best Buy and get all sorts of junk.

What I didn't like about the BIG 3 automakers begging in front of a panel is how DEMOCRAPS took advantages of the groveling by asking them asshat questions such as " please raise your hand if any of you did not come here today on a lear jet ". This coming from the very same twits that wear 500 buck suits and just gave themselves another cozy pay raise! I would have shot back " name a congressman that has NOT flown in a LEARJET or taken a cozy ride in some of our HIGHER END limos and cars " etc,. Whats really insane is that the biggest crooks in that room were asking the questions.
