New Proof of Saddam's WMDs?
http://www.cbn.com/blogs/dalehurd/060109.asp The Intelligence Summit, a terrorism research center connected to several important U.S. intelligence figures, says it will release audio tapes next week of Saddam Hussein talking about his Weapons of Mass Destruction. Its news release says “A former military intelligence analyst, who currently works as a civilian contractor, believes he has found a cache of extremely confidential--and very shocking--audio recordings of Saddam Hussein's office meetings. The audiotapes, which had apparently been overlooked, were found in a warehouse along with many other untranslated Iraqi intelligence files. These tapes are extremely significant, since they may be the best evidence yet of Saddam's secret intentions concerning weapons of mass destruction.” Meanwhile, Steven Hayes of the Weekly Standard, who has been documenting Saddam’s connection to al-Qaeda and WMD for years, writes in an upcoming issue that “The former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by 11 U.S. government officials.” Hayes has uncovered a lot of material tying Saddam to al-Qaeda and WMD. The White House capitulation to the democrats and the media on this has been baffling. |

The two do not match and any so called cooperation was minimal at best. Also, Democrats voted to give the president power to deal with the matter just as Republicans did, though, not in as great as numbers.
