1. I wasn't being sarcastic and wasn't trying to inflame anyone. To kill someone is a horribly traumatic experience and I am glad there are people who are willing to do that so I don't have to, because it's certainly neither easy nor fun. That is why I am very glad there are people willing to kill so I don't have to. I meant no disrespect or sarcasm, and I am sorry if I offended anyone.
2. I am not a "far leftist"
3. I'm sorry I did not know that the court presiding over the matter found them innocent, I was not aware of the organization you mentioned and will look into it, I retract my statement about them being punished if they were found not guilty. Thank you for the information, I'll remember that next time a debate like this comes up.

Gunny this Tilman affair is about to jerk my chain I know the Military has flaws when it comes to notifying Family of a death but I do in no way expect Tilman's death any more important than any other person we have lost.Sounds like this Family expects more attention because he is a big money NFL player.

OK. perhaps you can see why I reacted the way I did? No harm, no foul. Just so you know, the UCMJ is a set of laws governing the military both in garrison and in combat. This is why you cannot apply American civil laws for these situations.

Sully. Damn right. While I have the greatest respect for the sacrifices made by the Tillamn family, they need to recognize that the actions announced on Monday were a direct result stemming from thier previous efforts to gain clarity of the events surrounding thier son's death. Those high ranking officers were wrong and they will be dragged through the coals over thier actions as a result. There doesn't need to be any congressional inquiry over this.

Congress should stay out of this. Though, they did authorize the UCMJ as is their duty.
