I'm going to state here than the west have always been stronger than the east even in medieval times. If anyone have any question ask me here.

Well, there have been few epic battles between the Far Eastern countries and the West. For example, China has never fought Europe, or America in that regards. Japan gave the US a good fight in WW2, but economic power was the key. Japan also gave Russia a good fight earlier in the century.

Korea and Vietnam were not officially direct fights as US troops were helping host countries. Yet both conflicts were very difficult for the US. Vietnam showed how a local population using unconvential warfare could stymie a superpower.

With Far Eastern populations exploding, this might be the century we see large-scale battles between the East and West.

Then there's that little incident in Korea. Ended in an uneasy truce rather than a clear cut victory. It also spurred the advice from General MacArthur; "Never get involved in a land war in Asia".

Vietnam proved the validity of that advice.

If it is your thought that the west has always been stronger than the east you need to contemplate the logic behind the Chinese finger puzzle.

Perhaps I have watched Monthy Python and the Holy Grail too much, but there are striking similarities between the Crusades of the U.S. against Islam and the Crusades for the Holy Grail of Medieval times.

Then as now, not exactly sure what we were looking for, but tried nonetheless.
