Ecuador army, Colombia's FARC rebels clash in Sucumbios



The Ecuadorian army clashed with rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on Saturday night in the border province of Sucumbios, Ecuadorian general Gonzalo Meta said on Sunday.

The general, who heads the Ecuadorian army's Fourth Division, told reporters that it was the first battle between Ecuador and the FARC, Colombia's largest rebel group.

Meta said the army had captured two alleged guerrillas, eight backpacks filled with combat equipment, three AK-47 rifles, one M-16 rifle, grenades, bullet-proof vests, explosives and two electricity generators.

The military forced other FARC rebels to leave Ecuador and arrested seven people working for FARC.

Yep,been in a couple of scrapes that seem more intense myself.
Was in a go-go (gasp) bar and a fight broke out.Pool sticks,bottles,chairs,the usual.
I finally got on my hands and knees and crawled to the door to get out before the cops came.
Yep,good times.

go-go bar? WTF is that? myself, I always aim for those crawling on the floor.....

By the way,a go-go bar is where scantily clad women dance for men who pay for overpriced drinks in the hopes of bringing one(or two)of said ladies home.

On the East Coast they make the distinction between a "go-go bar" and a "strip club" (among other names). The "go-go bar" has bikini clad...performance arts specialists, no nudity.

Hmmm, no wonder I didn't know that. Reckon I just gravitate to places that offer real adult entertainment. If I want to drool over bikini clad women, I'll just head over to the San Dawg boardwalk, no cover charge, no minimum drink and 100% chance of getting some.

If the bar runs peso shows, then its worth the trip. You guy's remember those? Stack a bunch of coins on top of the beer bottle an she squats down an takes em all up and then she gives you change back? Or when she shoots a hard boiled egg across the room and they compete for distance? Now thats entertainment. Prefer this over pole dancers and stuffing money into bikini's just for dancing on a stage anyday.

Well, come on do ya blame me for hijacking this thread? Ecuadorean battles? Geez those guy's are lucky they can get to a battle, much less participate in one.
