Why go off to another country and accuse a few rag heads who are so poor they half to eat sand.
While millions and millions of Mexican and South Americans Indians invade our country.
Steal every job make bums out of citizens, covertly murder us and take over the U.S.

You might think this is BS but check out the NAFTA Highway and the North American Union.
Sure it looks like bull but it's not.

One has to ask what vital jobs these ' illegals' are stealing from ' willing-to-work' Americans?

fruit pickers? lawn/hedge trimmers? trash pickers? french fry grease trap recovery techs?

Seems to me there may be thousands of jobs going begging but I don't see full-blooded/card carrying Americans lining up for these elite positions...so which job did you get turned down for that an ' illegal immigrant' got instead?

Factory workers,Machinist,Painters,Welders,You might want to do some research these are jobs in areas such as Southern CA that when they post an add it states Supervisor needed Spanish speaking a must. And then next to that add it says equal opperunity.Rocketeer I know this for a fact the place I worked was a Aircraft sub-contractor if we were running 3 shifts which we usually did we had approx.350 people including all office personal we had about 30 people who were not Green Cards. Some of these people had been there for 20 years but were not American Citezins and had never applied for citzenship some could not speak english and did not want to learn English.

me dos centavos

Let me just say some of my best
meals are Mexican.

I've been to Mexico. Did you know that
the 'U.S.' is also 'Mexico'? The country's
official name is 'The United States of Mexico'.

I was born and lived in what was once Mexico.
I admire the culture...especially the respect.

Mexico is rising again. Half the population is under 15 years of age.

450 thousand Mexicans came to the U.S. in 1927.

There are now maybe 8 or 10 millions.

The vast majority are in my opinion
good God fearing people.

If enough laws are enacted most folks will be
outlaws (like outlawing gun ownership).

Christians...what if... when the majority of
U.S. citizens are say Islamic and vote in
Sharia law...and you are faced with renouncing
your religion as a hate crime...cause it will be a hate crime to say "You can only get to Heaven by believing in Christ"...will you
become an outlaw?

Take away our firearms and our liberty will be short lived.

Down off the soup box...

The oil patch and supporting services are full of 'spanish speaking' rough necks
...drillers...deck crew...crane operators...roustabouts...welders..truck drivers... electrictions...managers... you name it.

all across the job spectrum
(and then some)

However these guys were not cutting anybody's head (not much anyway). No jihad...just jobs.

Most I knew would make good citizens
(somewhere). Bilingural education of
the kids is normal in most border states
and expanding...

Of course their kith and kin could cause trouble...mucho fights and some drive by's. Muy Malo.
But that was usually on 'their truf' as
signified by the gang tags...MS-13 and the ilk.

Reminds me of a bugle call made popular in 1836.

'El Degüello':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtE4XJ59JTU&feature=related

(back up on the soup box)

BTY...'El Degüello' (no quarter) the Mexicans got from the Spanish...and quess who the Spanish got El Degüello from?

Yep the Islamic 'Moors'

quote:
According to various English-Spanish dictionaries, El Degüello means no mercy. The literal translation is slit-throat. Michener's book 'Texas' translates it as The Beheading.

Sully:

Have to ask.. If the company was in any way half-way decent/compliant with the laws and offered reasonable wages, then how many qualified " Real Americans" applied for the jobs? How many were willing to relocate [with or without families] to take up the positions?

Any employer needing willing workers will take those who bother to show up, fill in the forms and show up sober and regularly..

To curb the situation it seems to me that the employer should be the one on the hot seat.. Make them comply and hire only card carrying legitimate employees.. Fine [ heavily ] or shut down those who skirt the law with illegal hires..don't need new laws just enforce existing ones.. its this ' incentive' to hire ' wetbacks' that burden the system down the line with the dependents needing education, health care and other supports upping social costs which offset any gains made from ' cheap labour'...

problem is, such actions could shut down a large number of industries[ particularly in agriculture and service areas ] and throw the economy out of whack..

bottom line is you can't force people to work, so those willing [ desparate ] will always step up when the rest turn their noses up at honest but low paying tasks they feel too American/good to take...

American (U.S.) business has always been willing to screw American workers to make more money. That is called capitalism and this attitude is from someone who is not a socialist or a union member.

Look at the people who shop Wal-Mart and enjoy those Chinese made products while complaining about jobs going away. We want our cake and eat it too!

Rocketeer it is easy for you to make such a statements not living in the US Harry is right Greed is the problem but we have made laws that are held up in US Coart somewhere being delegated .But as far as your comment about Common labor that is not what we worry about.Green card labor has all but destroyed our Labor Unions and that inturn destroyed our principle rise in wages the wages of today for other than common wages are almost the same as they were 30 yrs ago but our cost of living is twice as high.

Sully:

problem is not confined to the US.. We've got the same problem up here..but, with a twist..
Oil Patch [ Alberta] is booming so people are flocking to that part looking for jobs [pumping coffee in a greasy spoon pays $ 17.00 CAN an hour! ] while other parts of the country are crying for labour [ skilled or unskilled]..

Wineries are demanding the right to bring in ' migrant/visiting ' workers from Caribbean and elswehere to pick grapes..

Local hospital built for 680 beds only has 400 open because it can't find [ let alone hire ] enough nurses [ assuming there are funds to pay salaries] but can't get foreign-trained nurses accredited by governing bodies or government so we get 8-12 hour waits in emerg for treatment [ big scandal - hospital was open barely a week and they operated on some old lady cutting into the wrong leg! ]...

And, yeah, we're hard-wired to cheap goods with buying offshore for price.. Industries are helping that by building plants or partnerships with Chinese and other cheap worker environments [ its all about ' shareholder value' isn't it? ]..

Still I doubt that, as a matter of principle, any of you would go out and buy your HDTV from a local manufacturer and pay $ 2 -3 grand more [ assuming you can find anyone in the US making them ]to reverse the trend.[ Still Toyota, the Number 2 Car seller in the US can hardly be called 'foreign' anymore what with its plants in the US and elsewhere - anymore than GM/Ford/Chrysler can be called American with their ownership/partnership deals.. Watch for the Chinese made Chryslers in '09 selling in DesMoines ]

Big scare up here now is that multi-nationals are hollowing out forest industry, closing ' unproductive' one-industry towns [ because government are trying to save the environment ]in favour of offshore' sourcing' of lumber where they can clear cut half the third world before anyone gets wise- and rock bottom costs and maximum profits.

Russia is set to be the next big ' bread basket ' supplier of food to the world because Putin is happy to screw the environment to reap big bucks from agro-business farming.. Watch Western Farm Equipment manufacturers jump in and sell $ 250 thou combine harvesters to the newly emerging Russkie Farm Elite or make co-op factory deals al a China [ stock tip in that for the smart - with the machines made somewhere else, of course, but the ' head office' will remain in Delaware for tax purposes unless its already located in the Cayman Islands, Guernsey of Tuvalu ]..

SIGH.. Global Consolidation and the trend to have six companies rule the world..[ Rollerball scenario anyone? and we're worried about who will replace Dubya...HA!! ]

What are you gonna do? Better to have the jobs filled in America [ even if by 'undocumented workers' ] than have them disappear entirely to Korea, Philippines, India and points east...

now, if you'll excuse me, I have to ring the call centre in Bangladesh over my credit card bill..

Well all I have to say is why don't you run down to your Parliment and suggest Canada request all of the 15'000,000 Mexican Imigrants that refuse to obey our laws in the USA come to Canada and then we will probley give you the other 20,000,000 that are in our prisons Hell just let them all move to Canada. But with a promise never cross the northern US border again.Just say if the US don't want you we will put a big (Welcome mat out )

Oh, they are coming our way.. We have had problems with a number of Mexicans claiming refugee status at the Windsor=Detroit border crossing..clogging up the system and demanding preferential status in the line..

right now about 14% of claimants get admitted [ if that ]and the rest are either shipped back to Mexico or turned over to US Border Patrol for ' further processing '..

Biggest immigrant issue up here [ legal or otherwise ] is the number of Chinese trying to get in.. You'd think that , given the peoples' paradise that is China and the prosperity all that flood of US money is bringing they'd be happy to stay at home but, nope... hundreds applying or sneaking in every day..

last census showed that Toronto [ pop approx 6 million ]is 48% non-native.. currently 187 languages spoken in the town.. where I live largest influx over the last five years is Indian sub-continent - Sikh, mostly - some 15000 new residents -...

way of the world.. time for me to seriously look at taking up residence in Tahiti..

LOL

Down at the southern tip of Africa, we have 3 million zims from up north over our border, and quite likely another 15 million or so immigrants from the rest of Africa (of which probably 99.99999% are here illegally)

The first jobs that come to mind are the construction industry.

I don't think you can find a grengo doing drywall in CA, but when you see these home improvement shows, most to the time they are grengos working in the East or South.

Carpenters are another one. How about the old IBF in the Dakotas, Tyson bought it and kick out the union and now its mostly illegals (60 minutes did a story a while back.)
