see that one of the more ' controversial ' figures of the Viet Nam Era/War has passed into history..

condolences to family and friends and to the american military community on the death of General Westmoreland..

he always maintained that America didn't lose the conflict and, there is much to suggest he was right..

whatever the belief, no one can fault his dedication and service to country.

RIP Sir...

Have to agree with you on that statement. Sometimes one forgets to maintain the perspective of the leaders of the time in regards to decision made.

He tried his best to win a war with too many restrictions and limitations placed upon him.Washington did not want to win and placed a heavy burden onto the General's shoulders.
A valiant and noble warrior.May he rest easy in Valhalla.
RIP,Sir.

He was a man who dedicated his life to his country and one who saw the elephant. God bless and rest in peace.
