And let's not forget the President bowing before the king of Saudi Arabia.

The President of the United States is what we have, not the Emperor or King. I sure hope Obama didn't spend the whole day running around The Forbidden City wondering where the Qing Dynasty was because the Chinese chunked those goofs in a camp long long time ago. As for respecting CUSTOMS? We do that, we just don't bow is all. Until Obama that is...

When working with the Japanese, we tend to bow if they are in charge, it is a cultural respect thing. Since this is a second post of the same subject in another area, you must really be hung up on it.

What has anything you wrote have to do with the President of the free world bowing? You are also wrong with the supposed custom of bowing if we work for a Japanese company. I should know. |

Oh, I forgot, you know everything and can never be wrong. I am sorry to have questioned your experiences; I, of course, have none.

I never said I know everything, and if you can find where I have said I know everything, paste it up. I do that when you are wrong. A little research goes a long way. This message has been edited. Last edited by: TYPHOON44, |

My average is 90% right. As nutty or mean as some here might think I am, they know I'm not and that goes for both of you. I might crack jokes about Obama and other political people, but it was the same way with George Bush. I have a close cousin who is a career Foreign Service Officer in the United States Department of State ( Chargé d'Affaires ad interim ). She speaks 5 lingos fellas. My point is I keep good company with people who are not in the the news, but those who shape it. In other words I actually know what is going on in Bangkok or Eastern Europe. They have both told me that most countries could care less about Obama or America for that mater. Not as an insult to America either. They just have a life to live themselves is all.
