biggest load of bullshit in the whole article belongs to a german politician:

quote:

A German defence ministry official said the incident would not change Berlin's policy of the 'principle of proportionality'. He added: 'A fugitive like the Baghlan bomber is not an aggressor and should not be shot unless in self-defence.'

The Taliban commander the German SF guys were trying to arrest was responsible for multiple bombings, including one which killed 79 people, according to the article, and he's not a F*#!ing aggressor?!? Am I the only one here seeing similarities in German policies with American policies during Vietnam?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill
