I have currently re-enlisted into active duty as a 74D and will be shipping to Ft Leonard Wood, MO on Feb 14th.
My recruiter has stated that I will go straight to AIT, and my paperwork says OSUT. What I would like to know is, exactly how do I fit in to OSUT. I know I have to be brought up to speed again on marksmanship etc. What I don't know is what to expect as far as requirements for what I can and can't have, free time, etc. I went to AIT seperately from basic the first time , and don't want to show up expecting AIT, and wind up in basic. I can do it either way, but know from experience it's best to be prepared if I can be. Also, if anyone can give me a better idea of what to expect from 74D mos I would appreciate it. I know what they do, and I've read the general descriptions, but we all know that what you actually do is rarely what they tell you. I mean my unit before had an NBC NCO, but we were non-combat before, and I doubt that will be the case this time around. So in advance thanks for any help you can give me. If you prefer to email me my address is aanderson999@cox.net. HOOAH |
