That is a good question for a recruiter because there are options. But first thing first. You shouldn't worry about your contract when you haven't passed the entrance exam/physical etc. Why worry about a contract when you can't join?

I signed a three year contract, and split option. Im just trying to provide some friendly advice. Many people want to have that mos, just because its infantry and you get to shoot lots of weaponds. It all comes down to that when you get out of basic trainning and look where you will be stationed. Right on the front line and even worse in combat. These are some of the leading deaths that we have seen in Iraq and Afganistan. They are dangerous just because the job they have and their deployment location. Dont try to be a badass thinking that you are going to go there and kill someone. Also rember that they are real bullets flying past you, so it could be your last breath and you may not come home.
