Do I know you? email me if we know each other, grandpaw001@gmail.com, I used to play around with VTR while I was stuck in the 2/41st Arty. You take real good care of your self we can't afford to lose you.
"Playing" with the 88 pales to working it to death day and night for weeks and months, you know that. One fine machine. It is possible we might have crossed paths, Coachman, doubtful personally though. I took AIT at Knox in the late 70s, went straight to 1/13 Armor at Illesheim, Germany till mid-80. Seems we passed through BK a time or two in our 'travels'. Thanks for your encouragement, right nice of you.

I'd like to think I was a good care giver. My client was and is always willing to have me back. Unfortunatly it dosn't pay as good as my job now,(stupid state) or I would quit and go back and do it. at least until I left for my future plans.

Quadvet I spent time at the Boblegen Maint. Plant running night sights at the hookers, man what hard work that was lol, I meant the little vtr not the big boy. I think it was the VTR-66, long time ago so may be wrong about the 66.

VTR 66 sounds like a bumper number. The only other track recovery vehicle of that time and now is the M578, based on the M109 & 110 howitzer chassis. Had a V-8-71 two-stroke Jimmy diesel, what a POS. Had a turret mounted boom with enclosed two-man crew department. The M88 is a beast in comparison, easily able to lift the 578.

Yes, gotta love recovery vehicles, any size. They call us POG's now - Personnel Other than Grunts. Well I did my best at what I know best, and appreciate the grunts to no end.

Where's that wannabe FNG Dbhar ?
