Every time I see the M1A2 tank I wonder what the heck are those 'funny' looking bumps on the middle of barrel and the 'thing' at the end. I know the thing at the end of the barrel is not a flash suppressor.

Its a bore evacuator in the middle of the barrel.

And no, thats not a flash suppressor on the end of the barrel. Its basically a blast deflector.
