I need an answer as to how long an RE-CODE 3G KFV (physical but not a disability) waiver takes. has anybody put in for one and has it been approved or denied and how long did it take? I received this code from the Navy and want to join the Army. For those reading this the military can hurt you. the Navy breached my contract and gave me this code. Any help would be great.

A condition, not a physical disability which interferes with performance of duty.
(Enuresis, motion sickness, allergy, fear of flying, etc.)

Do you or do you not have such a condition? They obviously had reason for recording such a RE-Code upon your discharge. It had to have been a subject that was presented at some point during your out-processing.

When you were being out-processed, you had the opportunity to question this. You did sign indicating your acceptance. I don't see how they breached your contract, but then again, you didn't really post much about it.

Gunny,

I had a contract for an "A" school and they failed to send me, it was in my contract. the Base CO let me out. When I was in the USMC I had an ankle injury with a disability. I think the Navy used that so I could not say that was the reason. as for me I failed myself by not checking what my RE-Code stood for. but I do have a waiver in for the Army can you give me a good guess as to how long a waiver takes. I read they are waiving people with criminal backgrounds and if so why would or could it come back a nogo right.

I have never had to pursue the waiver process, so any timeframe I gave you would be pure speculation. And yes, those with criminal records have applied for waivers, but getting those approved is another thing entirely.
My advice to you would be to find out specifically what condition they have recorded against you. You should have copies of all of your medical records to back up your waiver request. A broken ankle is not considered a permanent injury. Has it healed and do you have full range of motion? Will a orthopedic doctor certify this? If you don't have full range of motion, then that will be a limiting factor in your request. They want Soldiers to be able to walk, run and pass the physical requirments without too much difficulty.

As for the A school? Which one was it? It may have been one they did away with. They should have offered you another choice in A school if that was the case. Do you recall if they said anything like that when you were told one was not available?

The "A" school was Yoeman. They offered no other school. I have been to MEPS and received a clean bill of health passed my physical with flying colors.an Ortho Doc gave me a thumbs up full range of motion GOOD to GO! In your Opinon do you think my waiver will come back approved? I'm seeking to go back as infantry..A much needed MOS.

Ddennett-

US Army medical waivers can be back in as little as four hours, or as long as 6 months. Its a very broad spectrum of types, and I apologize for this on behalf of my employer, The United States Army Recruiting Command(USAREC). Unfortunately, it is sent up the chain to the CG, USAREC and the Command Surgeon, Dr. Wong. They will be the final approval authority. I would imagine it will be Green 2 Green, as I enlisted a young man with two screws in his left ankle for Airborne Infantry. I am a recruiter, so I am sure your recruiter should be hot on it. Best of Luck!

Go here, https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/docs/Disqual.aspfind your medical problem, then go to AR 601-210, see if your condition is in fact waiverable, if so, as Cavscout said, it could be seemingly forever or complete in a short period of time. This biggest delay is historically mistakes in the paperwork, if thats the case, your paperwork has to go up the chain, back down the chain, back up the chain...long process there. Good Luck

I will take a look into it for you just go to www.exrecruitertells.com and fill out the prequalification application lower left side and I will find your answer.
