I inspected and enlisted last Thursday. Made weight by 0.2 lb. Will be shipping out real soon. If I happen to be a little over my max when they weigh me again at ship out, can I still ship by passing the tape test?

hmmmm, it all depends on who is manning the scales and carrying the tape! I'd strongly recommend loosing a few extra pounds on the toilet before weighing in! Yeah, all that crap you keep in yer gut counts as weight, why take it with you to be used against you?

Gordo3:

You just enlisted. You have a recruiter that should be establishing a PT program for you to get in shape. "Going to the gym" is not a workout. Its a statement. You should start by running. Lots and lots, not on a treadmill. You will run, a lot, in the Army.

If your recruiter failed to tell you that. I am an Army recruiter, and I'm telling you. Run, get your cardio-respiratory endurance up. You just enlisted on Thursday, you hopefully have a few days. You have to do a Pre-Basic PT Assessment anyhow. So that'll help.

And to think that when I enlisted they let me in because I could walk and did not drool too badly. Big Grin
