Since it'll be awhile for the Army to get the Dress Blues issued I'm upgrading my Dress greens. In October of 07' I was the Pall bearer for my first SGT who was near and dear to me. I was also a Pall bearer for My best Freind of 16 years a Capt just 2 Fridays ago. We also have a dining in coming up soon. So as you can see there is a reason to continue with my Greens. The original buttons are sew ons, The sta-brites are clip on. It appears that if I were to CUT the old ones off I can use the loop to clip on the Sta-brites. Is this the correct method of replacement or, do I have to take it to an alteration shop to have holes cut into the uniform?

Strike that question. I tried clipping on to the thread but it holds the button side ways. I tried 3 "Professional" Tailers and they said they can't make a hole in the material they don't have the machine for it. When I stopped by someone I didn't think would do it they said no problem.
