I tried to tell someone about this, but got no response from the military. If the most deadly I.E.D's out there are the ones that are currently being remotely detonated, this may be a huge life saver. Lets review the facts, remotely detonated I.E.D's are activated by the wave of a frequency bouncing off the I.E.D's transmitter. These waves are able to travel through the ground to activate the I.E.D. Allowing for I.E.D's to be placed left for a while, and then detonated at the precise time needed. Now the problem we are facing from the I.E.D.’s should not be that they are remotely detonated. As the most technologically advances civilization on the planet you would think we would use technology to combat technology, especially a technology we have a greater control over then the insurgents. America specializes in communications and the devices they operate on. Since these remote detonators are little more then cell phones, pagers and frequency transmitters being used to tell the I'E'D's to detonate. Why is it we do not use the insurgents reliance on our technology to fight them. The bandwidth that is used in the communications industry is miniscule in comparison with the total number of frequencies that exist. . If we combined a frequency transmitter, able to send out signals at all frequencies currently used in the communication's frequency’s bandwidth, with a computer capable of directing the transmitter which frequencies to hit. You could mount this onto the front vehicle in a convoy, this vehicle would bombard the ground ahead with random frequencies, just a quick blast, so that as many as possible can be sent out in a period of time. When the device sends out the correct random frequency to match the I.E.D's required frequency, the I.E.D. will detonate, hopefully ahead of the convoy and with minimal casualties. The question is if I.E.D.’s are really having a large enough impact that this would be needed? Another application of this technology could be implemented in the mass scanning of highways for I.E.D’s utilizing a helicopter with one of these frequency generators mounted underneath it. Please give my your feelings on this.

Nice, thanx alot, the HPe is definatly similar to what i am talking about, except that this vehical is more for jomming signals which would block the IED from being able to go off, as opposed to my idea of something that would auto detonate the devices. Thanx for the Info, much appreciated.

they should just have a little thing on the front of humcess that sends out an emp of like 400 yards or somethings that totally fvcks with people wirless communications for 400 hunderend feet. Another thing that came into my head recently was how about equipment forensics experts use that allows you to see areas of the ground that have been disturbed hence ied's that would be cool
