This is a duplicate of my post on the ROLL CALL forum. I just simply do not know if everyone still visits ROLL CALL or not.
Would you care to discuss PTSD, Agent orange and Persian Gulf issues. No politics involved. I have been involved with Agent Orange claims since 1977. By the time the first review was completed by the Centers for Disease Control I had filed over 1,100 claims in Columbus, Ohio. When the Ranch Hand Study was released, I condemned the report as flawed and nearly lost my job as a result. My condemnations held true. The USAF has now admitted the report was flawed. My book "In Search Of the Truth For Vietnam Combat Veterans" may be of interest to you. In 1983 I filed my first PTSD claim and it was approved. Since that time nearly half of the 20,000 plus veterans I have represented have been diagnosed with PTSD. On my web site is my book "The Combat Veteran From WWII To The Present" you may find it of interest. The Persian Gulf War has created many problems for those returning. I have a short book on the PGW as well. If you would like, I would try to answer as many questions as possible. I am a one person office with no staff, so my reaction time may not be as quick as some would desire. I will try though, if you are interested. Click below to go and take a look when you have the time. http://www.geocities.com/dave_barker_amvet/index.html Dave Barker e-mail me through my web site please. |

I went to your website and signed the guestbook. I wrote a few details there that I don't feel needed to be on public display here.
Keep up the good work! Snipes! Heaven won't have us and Hell's afraid we'll take over! |

There has been talk about PTSD forum here for some time; we suggested it directly and had a prompt and respectful reply directly from the top brass and they are at work on it; making sure that it would be a protected environment...I suggested an emphasis on getting people to Vet Centers, so we'll see how it turns out.

A PTSD forum is an excellent source to assist those in need of proper direction. I certainly hope the Brass takes it seriously.
I have observed many people who know nothing of the terror of PTSD. Many of those try to brush it off and/or make snide remarks regarding PTSD. I once had a boss (very early 80's) who did not believe PTSD existed. He had an attitude that never changed. The worst part was he was the boss of the Veterans Service Office! A PTSD forum needs tender loving care. |

Since this thread is related to the new category...
It has been moved to it's current location. The Road of Life does not require a map to follow directions. Plan wisely. |
