I got my letter from the VA and they are suggesting that we go to www.firstgov.gov or call 1-800-333-4636 if we need any information on the stolen data. This is for those of you who are not on the VA’s mailing list.

The only information I could locate from the VA, was the incident from May of 2006 when 26 millions veterans data was on a single laptop in the home of an analyst. The laptop was stolen during the home burglary and later recovered. They say the data may have been erased?
