My name is alexis and i'm an AF brat thru and thru. after 30 years in the service, my dad is still going strong, and i couldn't be more proud!

the military community is great, supportive, and of course very interesting and complex!

i'm a professional writer by day, and my goal and dream is to spin my stories and others' stories into an e-book (or real book!) about life as a military brat.

so how has it affected your life - the good, bad and ugly - post back on the thread, or msg me - i'd LOVE to hear your stories. i'm continually fascinated and amazed not only by what our service men and women do, but by how their families stand behind them and suppport them!

I am an army wife and mom. I have a hubby and 2 sons in the service. Our youngest is NG for now till he graduates then will go active Marines probably. We love the military life. Yes some of it sucks but look at the life it gives us. Not many jobs provide for your family as good as the military.
