Mmk, I was previously in the USAF, made it half-way through basic training before I tore my ACL. It was a complete tear that required reconstruction. This happened last year, around this same time. Fun stuff, right? Well, I had a similar injury in high school two years back during basketball season.
The thing is, I didn't tell anyone at MEPS this, or my recruiter, for fear it'd completely disqualify me from the jobs that would be open to me or eligibility to be in the USAF. Needless to say, I was discharged with medical fraud. Fast-forward to the now and present. I'm completely rehabilitated, knee is stronger than ever, and I've spent the entire year getting it back to full strength. Is there any possible way I could enlist in another branch or service? I already know the USAF won't take me back, so I've been strongly considering the Navy. Any insight would be helpful. |

Congratulations on getting healed up.
If you are intending to serve, you must disclose everything up front. Let them make an informed decision and accept the results. SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. The Marines are at war, America is at the mall. |
