Okay so i have been in the DEP program since june 2008, my ship date is july 2009, the only reason my parents signed me into the DEP is because my recruiter said that i have choice over mos since i joined so early. i told him in September 2008 that i wanted to go something in the 0600. So i though all was good because he said he submitted it in September, 1 month before the new job numbers comes out he said. I have received several calls from the Main recruiting station that i still am under open contract, i am glad that they called because i would of went to boot under open contract, so they told me to call my recruiter and he said he submitted the sheet 3 different times. So i got another call from a different person from the main recruiting station in ny, askingm e questions and talking to me about my mos and why i am under open contract. So i dont know who to beleive my recruiter or the 3 differnt people that have called from bufalorecruiting station, right now there is not many mos left, so that means that i will get stuck with a shitty one, i am in very good athletic shape, i am in the best shape out of my recruiting hq, of about 50 people. 15 - 17 pull ups, 100 crunches, and a mile and a half in 8:20, i got a 79 on my asvab test which i think is okay. My parents are extremely pissed and my dad has been talking to a reservist from the navy he is a commander and used to recruit a long time ago and he said that the recruiter is just playing games, my dad said if they cant get it sorted out that he will not let me go and said he will pay for my collage instead or can get me into the navy for the same job field because of his friend. so i really need some advice , because i am leaving for boot in 2 months, and this is my hole life ahead of me that i need to plan.

Razor....Did they say how you was defered to an open contract.I don't know what 0600 is that Army.
