Hi there guys!!

My sister is a BRAZILIAN with USA Citizenship.

I have already applied for immigration and have my petition number...but that might take some time(2 to 10 years).

Im going to US to visit her with a B2 VISA.

I have a Degree in Brazil and im also a Public Worker(Police Officer).

I pretend going to a Recruiter while in the US to sort that out and check the odds.

Do you guys know anyone(Brazilian) that joined the army in those conditions or another nationality??

Immigrate, become a citizen and then join.

Well said gunny, I could not have said it better.

...and they might not take you because you have been in government service elsewhere (Brasil) and your loyalty to the US is in question. I don't know about B2 visas. I assume it is a visitor's only paper. Forget it then, because as Gunny says you must immigrate lock stock and barrel. But because you have been a PO in Brasil, I would say forget joining the US military (see above). Stay there and make a career out of it. Brasil isn't so bad I understand.

G25, in the local paper we have a guy (I believe he lives in Rio d.J.) who regularly has articles on life in Brazil. Good and bad stuff, truthful I guess. Thus, as I said, it isn't so bad there (except for corruption and crime). Why come here and go through all the pain? Stay there and make the best of it. I know that the Brazilian Armed Forces are pretty well up to snuff (modern). Why don't you join them?
