While I was at MEPS, I put down the top 5 jobs that I wanted and qualified for. One of the those jobs are Security Forces for the USAF. But, I personally regret signing for that and since I havent signed my final contract, I told my recruiter that I dont want Security Forces and that I would rather have Administrative. He told me that because of this MOS change, his supervisor could literally DROP me from the Air Force permantly just because of a job change!

Is this true that he would drop me all because of a job change?

And... If I did jet dropped... Could I still possibly join a different branch even though I didnt sign my final contract before getting shipped out?!?!

DJ -sounds like you might want to go to another Recruiter while you are there you might mention the other Recruiter's name to someone.

Oops, disregard my other thread comment.

If they want to jack you around with that sort of BS, then that branch really wrote themselves a one-way ticket to "oops, I just lost a potential candidate"-ville. Recruiters want bodies. Don't let crap like that dissuade you from signing a contract that YOU WANT. After all, it is your life you're signing away, so you might as well do something you want to do instead of being dicked around and unhappy for the next 6 years of your life.

It's my understanding that the only contract that really matters is the final one. If you don't like the contract, then walk away from it. You should still be able to join later. Like Sully said, speak to another recruiter.
