I am new to this forum. I am a sophomore in High School and been wanting to join the Corps since 7th grade. I need some help on things I should do to get ready. I want to be a scout sniper but my parents want me to be an officer. Is it possible to be and officer and a scout sniper? Any tips/ideas would be help full. I talk to my recruiter and go to pt. Thanks.

If you have the qualifications to be an officer, then that is the direction you should take.

Gunny is right...my "Mustang" Father and Grandfather both told me to wait until I graduated College. Frankly, if I had I probably would have made a Career of it...
