ok Iam joining the US Army, I cant wait the only thing I am worried about is the fact that I am 29, is this going to be a issue with the DI's

I had a lot of old timer prior Es in my flight at our basic. Didn't seem to be a problem. You may be looked up to more by the younger folks to make decisions, b/c they will assume you have a bit more knowledge. Good luck.

well I want to be a police officer and cant pay for school so with all that is going on in the world and the fact that my grandpa was a cheif officer 4 in the Army. I made my mind up to go just took longer them most.

That works! Looking back at myself and reason for joining......I was getting laid off every time I turned around, so in all honesty, I just needed to eat regular. Besides, inside I felt I needed a good swift kick in the ass, so I joined the Marines. I really surprised myself when I graduated Marine Boot Camp.

I have freinds who went to Parris Island and have told me story's

I'll never forget standing on them yeller footprints! To this day, I will not stand on any footprints painted on the floor. Folks over at DMV get pissed when I wouldn't stand on theirs to get my picuture taken.
