Whats up guys, I just had a quick question for anyone who has a quick answer. Is the drug test a piss test or other? If other, please specify.

The MEPS drug test is a urinalysis.

If you have concerns about the test, don't try to cover it up with Golden Seal, or any other "cleaning" agent. As the test screens for chemicals other than those naturally occurring in urine.

hmmm is it my imagination or is it mostly those that have done drugs....are the ones worried so much about the testing?

While at TAP I had a naval officer ask how vigorous drug testing is in the civilian work force. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES of asking that question she says "I've heard that a Top Secret Clearance can get you in golden to many jobs, is my clearance really worth that much?"

Not if you're that concerned about drug testing, m'am....

With all due respect, I don't think that the reasoning behind why I'm asking this question is of any importance. But since you brought it up. . . part of the reason I'm joining the military is to get away from the things that could harm my progress in life. End of story.

You either do drugs or you don't. Ain't no middle ground on that question. They do ask you that question and you do sign documents that you swear to, that the information you provided is the truth. If through investigations and testing it doesn't match up with your signed statements, then you'll have a problem continuing on the path to life in the military.

Besides, it is an important question to those you would be serving with and under. They tend to take thier lives and safety seriously these days.
