You know he has never had the book in his hand.

well....its a common known fact that engineers can only absorb information when its shoved up their ass! Their bodies then take and filter out the stuff that makes sense and send the rest of it over to their fingers so they can type on the keyboard....

Harry, I know. But maybe I sparked some curiosity and he'll take it up. I think he'd really enjoy it. Just his style.

I found it an interesting read. It reminded me of many people that I ran across in the Army and in business as well.

Catch-22 and Bat*21 were required reading in our household. Then again, I come from a long line of warmongers...so Sun-Tzu sat next to the Bible, as did Thomas Aquinas and W.E.B Griffin.

Hmm, maybe I will check the book out as long as the content is in line with the currant social definition of the phrase and is writen as a "catch-22" being a negitive thing.

Yeah, don't want to read anything that might conflict with your values. Might learn something that way. WAY too dangerous.
Dude, open up your mind. Your a classic case of the loonies I dealt with at UC Santa Cruz. They were so "open minded".... except if you disagreed with their views. Then they became bigotted monsters. But, hey, at least I went to UC Santa Cruz to get that experience of dealing with people completely opposed to everything I believe. This message has been edited. Last edited by: patoloco, |

patoloco: It must have been an excellent course because you understood what he said – I was having trouble with it myself.

Yeah, the more I read it.....what does a small berry have to do with social definition?
As for the rest of it..... Pearso- where do you think the phrase "catch-22" comes from? It's THE BOOK Catch-22! Of course it is "in line" with....whatever the hell you're trying to say. IT'S THE REASON PEOPLE SAY "CATCH-22". Get a clue. |

And I did a year in the military to find out that they represent everything completely opposed to my views. So I think that makes us both open minded, we just disagree
