Hi,
I have been interested in joining the military for some time and i have wanted to be a pilot in the civilian world for a while as well. I am a thrid year college student working towards a Professional Pilots degree and plan to transfer to another school with my credits to obtain a Flight Technology degree in Aviation Management. My question(s) is this. If I were to enlist should i graduate first with my degrees? I have put a lot of time and money into school as well as flight lessons and i would hate for that to go to waste. To obtain a good job in the civilian world it looks good if i have a lot of flight hours and i know the military is a good way of doing that. I would also like to know if it is to late for me to join and all my previous educations would be a waste, and would i have to start all over? |

Folks seem to be asking that question alot lately!
Want to fly in the military? having a degree gets your foot in the door as a possible Officer candidate. As for too late to join? Reckon that depends on how old you are. There are age limits posted there on the internet. SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. The Marines are at war, America is at the mall. |

An engineering degree is not a waste nor is a pilots licence if you are not able to get into the military. See the link above regarding flying for the military |
