Ok well to start im new to the website I have an associates degree in Fire Science and my EMT-Basic... I have been looking into the navy but not officially decided on that yet any help there would be greatly appreciated. Ok well the main question i have is I had an ankle surgery in fall of 04, I broke it recovered never even think about it now. Yes i have pins in it i know the recruiter asked me about that and im alittle curious why at this point... The next summer 05 I had horrible headaches for a month or so saw a dr ended up getting an MRI turns out had a small syst and a tiny tumor(Sorry about the spelling). It was appartly on the back of my cerebelum, and a quick surgery at the university of MI. Well they gave it a name and it was non miligant and not cancerous of any sort cant remember the name exactly Von Hipple Lindo something but yea sorta rare and wouldnt affect me unless not treated i was told which it was and removed.. Ive been checked since then 2 times full MRI nothing I was clean and ive been great since it hasnt affected me since that minor weight restriction. I had a month of weight restriction but hardly ever think about even now until im looking at joining the navy? ok so ive spoke to a recruiter and he didnt really seem to know we requested my medical history to be checked, but im hoping someone has an idea would this be a serious disqualifier for me??? this is something im very serious about and even more that i have student loans and i scored a 57 on practice asvab so any help would be appreciated... similar cases or soemthing that will help me? thanks nate

Alot of things can be waived. It's a long tedious process, you must have patience. If you feel it's worth a shot go for it. The MEPS will tell you if your not eligable, and your recruiter will start the waiving process.
