ok so, my marine recruiter told me to say no to everything at MEPS and said that they will not find out at MEPS. so i did, and i passed with flying colors. but my problem is that now, from reading stuff all over the internet, i hear about people getting caught long after MEPS for other reasons and i dont want that to happen to me. they said it wont, but i dont wanna risk it. so i told my recruiter if i could fix it even though i swore in already and he siad i could. so if i get all my medical records for all my stuff, will i still pass?
here is what i liked about: i had asthma, but pretty sure it was never after 13 i had an inhaler before took albuteral for my asthma (i also took a pulmonary function test to see if the asthma still bothered me, neber got the results back yet, but pretty sure i passed) i had the chicken pox i have/still use medication for acne i have/still use medication for exzema i have been admitted to a hospital for bronchitis i did have 1 speeding ticket, its paid for so if i get all this paper work together and give it to my recruiter, how long will it take to fix all this, if its even possible. i read that they will not prossecute anyone in the DEP for frodulent info. |

Hmmmm, so once you are in the service, and I tell you to lie about something, you are gonna do it?
Didn't think so. two of those things you admitted to in here require medical waivers. I don't know what you think the recruiter will do with any paperwork you dig up now. Likely it'll be just like that pulmonary test and the results you never got back. Geez if I had that test done, I sure as hell would want to know the results. Do you really think the recruiter will stand up and tell god and everyone that he told you to lie? Don't think so. Thats a career ender for him. Bet he's none to happy with you now huh? (now that you have decided that you want to recant) I trust you realise the position you have put yourself in. The military will place your body in very stressfull situations. Especially the Marines. What are the odds your asthma will resurface, after going through the gas chamber? After participating in a force march of ten or more miles with full combat load? After swim qualifications? and that's just boot camp. How do you think your exzema is going to fare while sitting on a mountainside in the Stan? You have a problem and you need to get it resolved one way or another. Let the recruiter know all of this and get something back in writing if at all possible. If he doesn't help you get this cleared up, you need to think of escalation. Those things you mentioned can become life threatening in a very short period of time. Do you want to bet your life that it wouldn't happen to you? What about your teammates next to you? Willing to place thier lives on the line when it does happen to you at the most inopportune time? If the recruiter isn't willing to help you, then you need to run it up the recruiting chain of command. There is always an Officer in Charge. Ask the recruiter for his contact information. Be polite and non-threatening, but stand firm. SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. The Marines are at war, America is at the mall. |

Deganajo, so you lied but in doing so you bit into your own ass because answering honestly to most of those questions would have still qualified you. But now your medical record is tainted. If you ever get delivered unconscious to the medics they may give you the wrong stuff based on your med file. Get it?

And now you join without a clear conscience either.
I'm afraid to admit, but one of my best EM1s admitted he did coke before joining the Navy. He didn't lie about it, and he was clean when he joined. He's been SOQ and SOY already on my boat. But I wouldn't screw around with a medical record. It is your life... and it is a military doctor treating you una per praesidium |

its going to be very difficult, if not impossible, for you to claim VA benefits whenever you separate, your best bet is to talk to your Doc, or anyone from the Medical Staff, and see how you can get those issues rectified. I know of alot of people that kind of had the same situation, spoke to the Medical Staff, and somehow got things worked out... but its a risk you take.
