Count it the greatest sin to prefer life to honor, and for the sake of living to lose what makes it worth living.

I am trying to keep things entertaining but it seems like some people have no interest in that. Oh well

I still say go with the para military uniform, cooler full of beer and a bunch of assult weapons and maybe a shot gun and some clay pigeons. Then come home and play some halo and smoke cigars and watch stop loss.

Of course make sure the weather is nice, otherwise skip first sentence and just smoke and watch stop loss.

I have not actually watched it yet. My AF SF friend and I are going to buy/rent it when it comes out and smoke some cigars after we come in from shooting. I have done alot of reading up on stop loss and technically the military has that right so I dont think its an issue of the military "breaking the law" but I can sure see how people would be pissed about it and want to fight it and this is not just a minor issue like my property taxes going up 5$. Every time someone is stop lossed and redeployed "they" (the government) are rolling the dice with there life especially after someones 4 or especially 8 years are up or these really sneaky call ups when someone is a few months from there 8 being up and all the sudden they are on a 24 month deployment. Once again its legal but its a bunch of BS, its the military trying to save face because the congress does not have the back bone to draft. The problem with the military is they leave no way out of it other than to dishonor yourself so I view it as a form of entrapment, they say if you want out you have to do this, this or this and none of them are good things,

Smoke dope - BCD
Gain Weight - General discharge/OTH (if they can prove it was diliberate) also a SPN code modifier
Incompetence - General/OTH + SPN modifier
Refuse to deploy - Go to jail (thats nice)
AWOL - Jail/security clearance/OTH etc etc

Or you can go back to iraq and die.

Some people are just not as hooah as some people on this site but that does not make them bad or dishonorable people but the military has entraped them they are the equivalent of endentured servants for life for one bad mistake made when they were 18-23 years of age. People make mistakes and I guess the mistake of joining the military is one that can ruin your entire life so why would I think of an institution that puts people in this kind of position as honorable. Why do you think I have nothing nice to say about the institution and encourage people not to join. If you love the military and want to stay there thats fine (my buddy is AF SF) but dont sit there and tell me that the process above is honorable or name call just own up to it. The military is always trying to justify things yada yada. Why cant they just own up and say ya we F***ed up and then stop doing it, that would be the honorable thing to do.

According to the movie "Stop Lossed", it's a very easy way for the Military to re-deploy highly skilled veterans. Seems we just have to deal with it, unless we pretend to be "sick" on the very last day of our contract, haha. If that is possible.

So the option the military gives you is to make sure your not highly skilled. Half ass your job and do just enough to stay out of trouble. Make sure you participate in as little training as possible unless its absolutely manditory. Its really unfortunate because alot of people take pride in there work and doing well but people should not be extorted for it.

EDIT: Please only serious responses, some of u say it will and some says it dont, anyone know for sure?

DUDE, HOW can you say "serious post only" and then state that you DONT even know the basic rank structure of the branch of the Military you plan on joining. And shit, you would think the game you supposedly think has enough content in it to train you for a higher rank in the Army would teach the god damn rank structure in the first place.......

This is like some kid sayng " ive been driving since I was 16, could I automaticly be a truck driver for the U.S Army without having to go to training?

seriously, rrpearso sounds smarter than you rite now.............
