I am looking to join the AF. I have spoken with a recruiter yesterday and the highlight of your conversation was, "Let's not mention that." Well, I'm bringing it up here, because I want a second opinion. I do not think I should withhold information from MEPS. Please let me know about waivers for the following concerns and if there is a limit to how many waivers I can obtain? I meet all of the qualifications otherwise. I am worried about the following:
When I was younger I had to see a psycologist for an evaluation requested by a judge for determination of whom to grant custody to between my parents. Will they look into this? Should I talk to my old phychologist and see what exactly is on my record? A few weeks ago I went to the hospital for a really bad heachache. The medical staff in the ER said there was a possibility of meningitis. I was isolated for a few days while the spinal tap fluid came back. The spinal tap was negative for bacterial meningitis. However, I do not know if I had viral meningitis or not. They said with antibiotics my headache should go away, and it didn't. I went to a neurologist for a second opinion, she told me I porbably suffered from my first migraine; status migrainosus. She gave me meds for 6 days, said if I felt better, then she is probably correct. I do not know if this is a diagnosis, but I'm assuming I will need a waiver for it. Can you help me out with the process I will have to follow in order to join the "right" way? I do not wnat to lie. Thanks. |
