Hey commie, I had a quick question. What do you think the lowest SAT/ACT scores you can have in order to still be competitive? Many thanks.

Hey, I like the name. Is there are reason you chose it? The reason I ask is because I come from the Pavelow community.

As for the SAT/ACT question though. I cant put a number on it because when they look at your application package they are looking at the whole person. Your grades and scores are important but so is community involvement high school activities, leadership positions, sports, or just about anything that is an acheivement.

I think I had around a 1200 on my SAT, which didnt include the writing portion and a 34, I think, on my ACT but there are people here that are lower and people who are much higher.

The best bit of advise I can suggest is that if you are still in high school then go for the whole person image. Volunteer in the community, play sports, or help manage the sports teams, get involved in school groups. If you are currently enlisted than its pretty much the same thing but making sure to do real well in your job.

When you fill out your application dont sell yourself short. Put pretty much anything and everything on the forms. Obviously, winning a competition in 1st grade is going to matter but anything in high school and/or your military career should be on your application. Let the board decide whether or not its important.

My dad used to fly the pavehawk but I chose pavelow as my name instead. I have the whole person thing down im pretty sure, I am captian of 2 varsity sports, involved in my church group, involved in clubs, im getting my pilots license, I have various academic awards under my belt. I have all that and more but Im horrible at SAT's i think i got 1160 (math and CR combined. If only that was good enough... Thanks for the advice. I to hope to meet you at the academy.
