This wouldn't be an option for me for quite some time - I've got a number of years left before my EAS - but a buddy of mine is looking to transfer to the Air Force to become a JAG.

It kind of perked my interest because I was thinking of pursuing the law option myself when I sought my commission, but I was overwhelmed by motivation and went ground instead (I was also in dire need of a break from schoolwork).

If at the end of my current contract, I wanted to cross into the blue and become a JAG, how would I go about it? What would my options be? Will the Air Force pay for law school? What's it like as a JAG?

Thanks,

-CS

A friend of mine is doing this now (he's in law school now). Though, he was a Marine officer and will come back into the service under Marine SJA. He was already accepted to law school and was ready to resign his commission when the USMC offered him a deal. Come back as a lawyer, we'll pay for it. He took the deal.
