I am a registered nurse who applied for a position with the air force in early april. I have completed the application and provided all the requested documents. The last document that the recruiter requested was a notarized dependent care plan, which I immediately provided. Since that time (two weeks ago), I have not heard anything from the recruiter and my phone calls and e-mails have gotten no reply. What could be the reason for this lack of communication? Does the process normally take almost 3 months?

I'll just offer up possible reasons for the communications gap:
a) your application is in someone's inbox near the top of the stack b) your application is in someone's inbox, but is somewhere in the middle of the stack c) your application is in someone's inbox somewhere at the bottom of the stack d) your application missed the inbox completely and is on the floorboards of the recruiters car.....(just kidding) If possible a personal visit to the recruiter may be in order, if only to get him/her to look you in the eye and respond directly to you.
