Hi,

Basically I'm seriously considering joining. I know at 32 years old that might seem crazy. I plan to go talk to a recruiter, but I'd love to get a perspective from someone outside the RS.

I'd be considering the Reserves, I'm a female, and I do have a college degree. I do have previous military experience in the Marine Corps however it was cut short by an injury that caused me medical separation. I do however have a re-enlistment code "3P" that allows me to go back into the military. My MOS was aircrew chief, however I was injured before I could complete SERE school and go to the fleet. Yes I have a super bad inferiority complex about never getting to do my duty! It was cut short by a broken hip and feet.

All I know is every day that goes by I have this overwhelming feeling of wanting to complete my duty and serve my country. I miss wearing the uniform. I miss the structure (call me crazy lol) I can't help it! I'd consider the Marines again, but I'm too old! I don't want to do the Army or Navy for my own personal reasons. I would like to if possible continue forward with a job in avionics similar to Air crew.

Is my dream a possibility or just a dream? It's now or never considering my age!

Thanks!

Seeing as no one else has chimed in......You are within the maximum age by 2 years for the Air National Guard. As you are a prior service Marine, I would think the ANG would be very glad to have you in their ranks. Strongly recommend a side trip over to speak to the recruiter nearest to you and present yourself and whatever records you have and see what they offer you. You may be surprised.
