I'm trying to figure out what I want to do in the air force. I would really like to become a pilot. How hard is it to become a pilot? Out of all of the people that try how many fail? Do you get to choose what you fly? Also if you are a pilot in the aire force is it ok if I can send you a email and ask you a couple of more questions?

MrX, I don't know how often I have answered x questions like yours. You can't become a pilot in the USAF through wishful thinking. It is best to see a USAF recruiter. If you ask that question in this forum I suspect that you aren't even close to the requirements needed, because guys that can become pilots know them by heart. But I can answer one question right here: If you make it into the USAF as a pilot, the USAF decides which Airplane you will fly IAW your physical and mental characteristics and the needs of the USAF. On second thought: There are 4 basic requirements to become a military pilot: Stamina, Education (at least a BA/BS), excellent health and talent.

Hi , I've been wanting to join the airforce all my life and my regrets was that i didn't get to join any JROTC in high school or continue to college. I graduated high school. I was wondering can i start from scratch and become a Pilot? Im studying for the asvab now and im at the age of 25.
