My daughter is going to AF bmt in near future and i am thinking of buying her some coolmax undergarments for bmt. I know the marines have banned synthetics for under the wire operations because of the fire melting issue.What is the AF stance on this?

Don't waste your money on them. The Air Force will issue all that she needs for basic training.

During boot the general rule of thumb, if the govt didn't issue it to you, you can't have it, us it, keep it. (but you may spend considerable time saluting the crap out of it!)

Thanks for 411. They give her a list of things to bring and 6 undies is on it. That must be for in processing. But we are talking AF so one never knows with this politicly correct military. A young guy at my work army reserve said in basic if DI yells to much you can pull out a stress card and the DI has to take a one minute break! I would like to have one of those to pull on my wife!!
