I looking for info about Lajes Field. If anyone has been there and would like to share how they liked the assignment that would be helpful. Im thinking about volunteering for an assignment there advertised on the Equal Plus. I plan on taking my wife and 2 kids. Any info would be helpful.

callum, Lajes field (if I'm not wrong) is in the Azores Islands, in the center of the Atlantic. The archipelago belongs to Portugal(NATO)and is a tourist attraction. Thus, if you go there, you are stationed overseas. It is considered a plush assignment & lots of people grieve for it. If you get it you rolled a six on the assignment lotto. Need not tell you how it is there, it is top notch.
