Okay I won't bore you guys with the details, but here it goes basically I messed my knee up in Security Forces training at Lackland. And that happened in AUG of 04, I want to go Active duty but Im recieving 10 % comp for my knee. Im still in the reserves do you guys know if I can go active if Im recieving 10 % and also I talked to an active duty a.f. recruiter the other day and he said that they aren't accepting prior military right now? Have you guys heard anything about this? and if so when will it end? Well any new info would be great

or:

For one the AF isn't taking any prior because of the low number of recruits that they are taking. In the AF we are actually going to be starting a cut back. And #2 why did you want to go SF? Sorry I'm CATM but like my chief says " Your a SF member first!" but oh well maybe we will be our own career field again....or maybe not.

well, hopefully I can just do the active duty thing at my base, I think they call it MPA days or something, its a 3 year enlistment. Well see, and I WILL NOT join the Army or Marine Corps, I respect them but with all the stuff I've gone through with the the Air Force, Im sticking with em and plus I don't want to go to boot camp again. Well thanks for the help, Im gonna go to the VA on MAY 03, 2006. I will let you guys know whats up.

i'd suggest going to WTC and re-upping into the Army. You'll get a bonus and atleast be a PFC for prior service and such. Dunno if that's a big jump for you or not saying most airman come in E3 off the bat now adays. Seems like the no stripers are extinct almost :P

EDIT:
Just saw you don't want to go Army or USMC. You realise for the Army due to your prior service you won't have to goto basic but rather a WTC [warrior transition course] and then your AIT/OSUT correct? If you want AF AD good luck though I hope you manage a way.
