i have a minor dui on record, well technically not because i did community service hours and had it dismissed. some people are telling me that i have to wait 3 months since the date i completed the hours in order to join, but I don't see why that would be the case when the case is dismissed and was never put on probation or anything. any comment or thought will be helpful.

Talk to a recruiter, he or she will know for sure.

Also 3 months isnt a long time, you could do a lot of work in the mean time to make the actual enlistment easier.

Hmmmm, never knew there was such a thing as a minor dui. Or am I looking at this wrong in that you were a minor when you were pulled over and recieved the dui?

Remember if you do get in and you apply for your security clearance, that you be the one to document this incident on your clearance application forms. Sure wouldn't want that to show up in the investigation and then they find out you weren't upfront and honest about it in your application. There is the standard purjury clause in that application.

minor dui is when u are a minor yeah, and i didn't have a BAC of .08. i had .04 but i was still over since it shouldnt be over .02 for anyone under 21.

geez, I've used mouthwash that would cause ou to blow .02!
