But how many are willing to spend 8K on one, you can price yourself right out of the market, Im guessing they get enough government contracts and rich people to do ok. I would just think they would do better if they sold at a lower price because much more people would buy one and that is economies of scale. But hey if it works for them thats great, I will just never buy one. I guess the quest is on for a more reasonably priced magazine fed .50 cal.

Makes perfect sense to me to price it out of reach to the general public.

I guess it also does not help that we are buying things with counterfit money that is backed by nothing. I dont think it makes sence for any buisness to price them selves out of maximizing there profit, I dont care what your selling. The only explaination for such buisness practices is government subsidization as a form of gun control, its all back door and no one is the wiser. The government has secretly been sneekily putting small barriers (to grow over time) in place to control the public over the generations, you cant take radical steps to stifle liberty if every one is educated and intellegent you have to put up financial and social barries to higher education and financial barriers to firearms there by creating the illusion that everyone still has liberty except that they cant really afford to buy anything of real value with there counterfit money that is backed by nothing more than market conditions and faith in the US government

I might suggest that you read a book or two on economics. Our market is more competitive than you suggest but not a true free market as one might wish.

Also, don't you work for a corporation?

I do work for a corporation and corporations I dont generally have a problem with its more government I have a problem with (although I agree there has to be checks in place with corporations to prevent monopolization and worker rights) but when it comes to the high level economics I think governement interference drives to many buisness decisions. I have read books and taken classes on economics and alot of the economic models are reactionary to governmental decisions made decades ago, the government makes a decsion and economists have to react to it like its the bible (becuase for all intensive purposes it is, kinda like the UCMJ which should have never been created either, military members say oh its in the UCMJ and they say oh ok no more questions when some of the stuff in there is crap) if you have noticed we started "losing" wars as soon as the UCMJ was created, we have not won a war since WW2. So now economists/oprotunists have to loop hole the system in order to achive favorable results which boils down to maintaining a good quality of life in spite of all the road blocks the government has thrown up in the last half centruy. Once the government has locked down total coruption (ie closed all the loop holes) the nation will be thrust into second or third world status smart people will go to a more accomodating nation that fills the gap that the united states leaves, that probably wont happen in my life time but George W sure did a good first pass at getting us there faster, pretty soon mexican money will be catching up with us, alot of the south is already there only time will tell us what happens

So we haven't won a war since the UCMJ was created huh? So crushing Saddam Hussein's entire military capability in 96 hours wasn't a win?

You do know what we operated under before the UCMJ? We were held to the Articles of WAR up until the UCMJ was signed by President Truman.

Trust me you wouldn't have liked the Articles of WAR applied to your case. Because of the UCMJ, you are out and about enjoying all your freedoms.

The articles do look about the same, I would be curious what basic training was like back in the 1800's if there was actual commroderay or if it was the same bunch of garbage it is now. BTW, if we had crushed sadam and left it would have been a win, since we have stayed and wasted billions of dollars thousands of american lives and ruined tens of thousands of other soldiers lives through extended unnessicary deployments I would consider this a huge loss, even if we eventually "win" we still loose because of the steep cost, the only way to win anything is if we get free oil out of the deal to pad the costs of the war which now days is not politcally correct so we are in a loose loose situation.
