Hello all, just trying to get a sense of what those already having served have to say about the Barrett M648. The 6.8mm Rem SPC will in theory provide far greater stopping power than the 5.56x45mm of the M16A2 while being far faster and more accurate than the 7.62x51mm used with the Kalashnikov.

bro Ak's use the 7.62x39mm soviet round you reffered to a 7.62x51mm which is actually the nato round or .308 winchester which is used in m240's and sniper rifles in our armies

damnit i knew i should have reread that last post for typos. No I've never fired a .270 what do you mean by .270 lights though?

by lights i mean smaller case same'ish bullet so it a little bit slower less recoil all that you would expect from having less propellant in the small case i would it's about compareble to .243

Winni is right the AK-47 uses the 7.62x39 Soviet round whereas the 7.62x51 NATO round is a vastly different round.
