Hi everyone, My father just got a rifle from a friend that resently passed. He has since gave it to me and ive taken on the quest to finding out the story of this rifle.
Its a working condition 1943 British Lee Enfield No.1 Mk3. Does anyone know abot decoding these rifles? or somewhere I can find a registry? thanks. |

As Weatherman has shown, there is a wealth of information out on the net.
What you now possess is a great 'mantle piece' weapon! While it's still very likely in firing condition, I would reckomend against doing so until you have a armorer certify it safe to fire. A good gunsmith can do this.
