Sully.. got any recollection of how far they made you run during Navy boot way back when? For the life of me, I don't recall ever seeing a sailor run anywhere in twenty years in the Corps, with exception of them running for the liberty bus....

I stand corrected as I had forgotten about all those times on ship during GQ! arseholes and elbows flying everywhere!

i know you need to run the mile and a half in 12:15 or less. i reccomend coming in at 11:30 just to be on the safe side. and if you can run 4 miles daily and a march pace, then you should be alright. i know im going to have to run an ass load being the navy because im a corpsman fmf, so.....you get the idea. fleet marine force baby!!!

My recruiter has told me to expect 3-4 running sessions a week, of 1-2 miles each session depending on the pacesetter. This of course is on top of daily marching and PT.
I'm not sure how old you are... But as for me I'm 22. The initial PT test for the 22 year old bracket is 1.5 miles in 13:30, and if you can't do that you should seriously reconsider what you plan on doing |

geez, if an 18 year old can't run 1.5 miles in under 10 minutes he's in bad shape. Heck, i can walk that distance in under ten minutes an I'm a smoker.
