I heard the Navy was going to get new uniforms. Does that mean no more "Crackerjacks" or "Johnny Cashs"? Those uniforms were the bomb.

They certainly aren't what I voted for when I had to take the silly survey 2 years ago. BARF!

Poopie suits and tennis shoes anyday over that crap.

Mulder the old Krackerjack Uniform was very special and traditinal and was made the way it was for a purpose. And the most important was no one ever called me anything but a Salior. Our uniform stood out from all others.

Yeah, it's sad that the Navy is doing that. It's what set them apart from the other branches. I just don't see the real use of camouflage uniforms for the Navy (probably only for the Pilots or for the dirty jobs on the ships). But, I can see it for the Army, Air Force and Marines.

I actually bought a pair of Converse safety boots to give me an extra inch so I can see out that darn periscope. It's like a Vietnamese torture device, being half-way between tiptoed. Luckily, since they're made by Converse, they feel like tennis shoes.

But anyways, off to go do some more sub stuff. I shall return in a few weeks to contribute some more. salute
