I wanna enlist, & I have a plain anchor tattooed on each forearm, about 3" long & 2.5" wide, i was talking to a recruiter & he said they may ruin my chances of enlisting.. does anyone know about the tattoo policy in the navy?

Naval Message on tattoo policies

Perhaps if you wade through this message it will provide better guidence. After all, this is what the recruiters have to go by.

Uncle Andy

I honestly don't know. I served twenty+ years and never got a tattoo. Got a bad dose of the clap once, got stabbed with a butteryfly knife in the PI, but that's another set of stories.
